Senator Trent Garner bill tabled Monday sanction companies that impose compulsory vaccinations on their staff.
It would amend the Unemployment Compensation Act to say:
An individual will not be disqualified for benefits if they are terminated solely because of a refusal to be vaccinated against the coronavirus 23 2019 (COVID-19) or its variants
So if you, as the boss, are trying to have a healthy workforce that poses minimal threat to other workers and customers, you can fire a vaccine resistant, but your insurance rate- unemployment will suffer.
It is precisely this kind of message that encourages the Arkansans to be national leaders of stupidity when it comes to dealing with COVID-19.
The legislative session resumes Wednesday. Will this be considered relevant to the limited agenda set out in the vacation resolution?
