A major business conglomerate in the United Arab Emirates has announced that its staff will adopt a hybrid-style work schedule from January 1, 2022.

Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG) made the switch, in line with the new weekend change announced by the UAE government. Company staff will have a mixed work schedule, meaning a four-day office schedule, while Fridays will work from home, the company said in a press release.

“The government weekend begins on Friday at noon and ends on Sunday. The United Arab Emirates is the first country in the world to introduce a national working week shorter than the global five-day week,” the United Arab Emirates said. ESAG.
