Temper has been a life long fan of the rapping legend that is Masta Ace, he is truly one of the blue print figures in the history of hip-hop, inspiring artists such as Eminem and the new generation rappers. They first met in 2002 at a hip hop convention in Nottingham. Masta Ace had informed Temper that he will be coming over as part of a UK tour to promote his new album "Long Hot Summer", Temper was quick to prepare a surprise.. He asked if Masta Ace, who is a former graffiti artist, if he would like to paint a canvas, so Masta Ace who writes Ase, painted his letter forms filled with the titles of landmark albums and songs that he had written over his 15 year career. Once he had finished Temper peeled off a masked area of the canvas to reveal a portrait of the rapper, Brooklyn Bridge (Brooklyn being his home town) and the New York skyline. He was flattered to say the least as both signed the piece with a mutual respect and love for each others work. You can view the painting in the canvas section of this site. On tour with Masta Ace were, Wordsworth from MTVs Lyricist Lounge and DJ Avee, as heard on Shad-E 45 Radio and a mixtape legend.
